IS183 Art School’s “The Factory” Gala on Saturday, May 20 will Celebrate (and Support!) Art-making in the Berkshires

BERKSHIRE COUNTY AND BEYOND—(April 5, 2017)—Known for being the most imaginative party of the season, this year IS183’s gala event, The Factory,  mash-up mixes the foiled flair of Warhol’s pop art, Lucille Ball on the assembly line, Factory Records punk rock mohawks, spikes, and leather along with the everlasting Charlie’s Chocolate Factory to create a truly one-of-a-kind evening.

Factory guests will enjoy IS183’s famed artist-designed event décor beginning at 6:00PM, with drinks and auction preview followed by dazzling dinner at 7:00PM  by Peter Platt of Old Inn on the Green. At 8:30PM dance aficionados are invited to join the off-the-conveyor belt festivities on the prismatic dance floor with music by J-Wolf and projections by Joe Wheaton.

Proceeds from the gala will benefit Learning Through Arts, IS183’s after school, summer, and residency program that uses art-making to engage K-12 public school students in some of our lowest performing schools to experiment, collaborate, and create unique art while also helping foster conflict resolution and social-emotional skills and reinforce academic curriculum goals.
